I’ve always been fascinated by Argan oil. Where it came from? How it is produced? Why it became a global brand/ingredient for its culinary and cosmetic value? In a nutshell Argan Oil is produced from the kernels of argan plant oil , a tree endemic to Morocco. Like its close counterpart, the olive oil, it is locally used as a dip for bread or condiment for pasta and other food items. The process of producing the oil is arduous. Its the same reason why a good quality Argan oil is supposed to be pricey. There were attempts to mechanize the process to no avail. This is a good thing though because the women of Morocco have steady incomes. Usually this woman belong to cooperatives. The argan oil industry has always had a socioeconomic function in this local communities. Today, this oil is widely used all over the world for food and cosmetic purposes. Unquestionably, its has beneficial effects to health and beauty.

Here I am to putting ARGOIL hair mask to test. Reading the ingredients ,of course argan oil is included among the long list in the label. Mixed with other oils and ingredients I know that its effect is greatly affected because to really maximize argan's oil full benefit it should be used in its purest form,no additives. But this product isn’t cheap either so I had hopes of a fair to good effect. I used the mask on that day I received it. As instructed, once a week use is recommended massage into the air and rinse with warm water. It didn’t particularly say if application is after shampoo, wet hair or dry hair.

I used it on my dry hair anyways. Leave on for good 10mins and rinsed off. I have a coarse dry hair and I noticed a smoother and silkier feel after usage. I decided to use it again after 3 days. The effect is more noticeable, a softer and more revived hair. It felt good. The smell is mildly nutty with no offensive chemical scent. The packaging and design is also a plus, it doesn’t look cheap. I like it. I might continue to use this product if I have a steady supply. I believe my hair is nurtured anew with a softer , flexible and shinier hair for a longer time. Im convinced this product has a concentrated amount of organ oil mixed with just a bit of the other ingredients.
